MoMo's

The FAC: Fat Ass Club, formerly known as the Food Adventure Club has struck again. Wanna be member? The password is "Naked Belly Dancer". Apparently that is how you get in the secret door at MoMo's, anyway :) The food was dyn-o-mite! The waiter (see top pic) was H-O-T, and Michelle enjoyed the belly dancing, even if it wasn't naked. we ate spokokopoakpoita, lamb kabobs, sea bass, beef kabobs, gyros, crab cakes, lots of olives and of course, baklava! Although kinda far away, I think we would all go back.

What Chloe thinks the 80's were like

Chloe was watching Little House on the Prairie this morning and said, "Oh, I have a dress like theirs!" Then she came out in this patchwork dress, black boots and asked, "Don't I look like I'm from the 80's, too?" HaHa! I don't think she was referring to the 1880's!

Haircuts and Cheering

Chloe finished her summer cheerleading class. She really liked it and Miss Emma was very nice. Chloe now has to decide what classes she wants to take this fall. Her options are narrowed down to dance, gymnastics and more cheerleading. Unfortunately, she needs to pick one (maybe two). She gets too burned out and tired if her week is too crowded with activities. She has also mentioned girl scouts and basketball this spring. AAAGH! There are just not enough hours in the day for all the fun stuff !

So, Charlie got his first haircut last week. There wasn't much to take off, he pretty much just got 'cleaned up'. He did okay, at one point I had to hold him to keep him somewhat still. He didn't care for the noise of the clippers and kept trying to spin around to see what was going on behind his head!

Paper cookies

Chloe wanted to know if we "eat paper cookies tomorrow at church". I think she is referring to communion wafers. Well, they do taste a lot like paper and they look like little cookies. I guess she flunked 'Last Supper 101'.

Happy Birthday, America

Race for a Cure

Yesterday, Melody, Chloe and I went downtown for the annual Komen Race. It is always a surreal experience to see 65,000 people come together for a great cause.
We saw some interesting shirts this year. One says "SAVE THE TATAS", one says "I LOVE MY GIRLS" and another says "YES, THEY'RE FAKE. MY REAL ONES TRIED TO KILL ME". This got me thinking... what would the shirts say for the annual prostate cancer race?

Food Adventure Club

Tonight we tried a 'tapas' restaurant. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tapas Tapas is Spanish for "tiny portions at a high price". The food was pretty good. The portions are very small, though. The idea is to order a lot and share it. It is difficult to share a salad of 5 leaves, 2 oz of beef medallions, or a thimble of soup though. The restaurant was very pretty, though. It was done in all different shades of blue, with blue LED lights everywhere. The top of the bar was a big ice cube. Very cool. Next stop... Mongolian BBQ.

Charlie's new trick

Charlie's has now learned to blow his nose. He is so proud of himself! Unfortunately, he cannot always distinguish between a Kleenex and other thin white objects. Sheets and pillow cases, cloth napkins, scarves, socks and shirts all look like tissues to him. Consider yourself warned!
